As President of the CLOC Board and CLOC Europe Lead, Áine Lyons believes deeply in the power of community to shape the future of legal operations. In her role, she works with professionals around the world to advance innovation, improve how legal teams operate, and build stronger, more connected, and inclusive workplaces.

With more than 25 years experience leading legal teams at Fortune 500 technology companies, Áine knows how to guide organizations through major change. She is currently the Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Workday, where she advises senior leaders on business strategy and complex legal issues across global markets. Previously, she served as Deputy General Counsel and Chief of Staff at VMware and Broadcom where her leadership in modernizing legal operations earned her recognition from the Financial Times as the 2019 Legal Intrapreneur of the Year.

Áine is known as a change maker who brings people together across teams and cultures. She leads with empathy, integrity, and a belief that great results come when people feel empowered to work toward a shared goal of solving hard problems together.

Outside of work, Áine is passionate about mentoring rising leaders, exploring new cultures through travel, and supporting efforts that advance diversity, equity, and sustainability in business and beyond.

María has over fifteen years of experience in various roles within Repsol's legal services, and currently serves as the Head of NewLaw & Digital. In this role, María advises the company on Digital Law matters, handles legal operations, implements digital tools, manages legal knowledge, and oversees innovation and legal transformation initiatives. A key aspect of María's work is promoting the hybrid profile of Repsol's lawyers.

Sean Houston is Head of Legal Operations at HEINEKEN. In his role at HEINEKEN, Sean is responsible for the oversight of all things legal operations across the group from Head Office, four regions, and more than 80 operating companies. Sean had a bit of a unique path which brought him to legal operations from going to university for broadcast journalism, working full-time as a sports radio & tv broadcaster for several years, then pivoting to working in the software industry at a few different companies, most recently the legal tech vendor Brightflag. That is where Sean was introduced to the wonderful world legal ops. Throughout his time there working directly with dozens of customers across the globe he became fascinated with the benefits legal ops can provide organizations large and small. In his free time, Sean enjoys watching and playing just about any sport, travelling, cooking, going to the beach, and most of all spending time with his wife & young son.
